Hey! Here's my ideas of fun things to try that will get the blood pumping and keep the body active!

Outdoor Gyms

Go for a walk at your local park that has an outdoor body weight gym. This is Victoria park in Belfast, they have a park run route and this outdoor gym, why not do both!

Pole Fitness

My first ever pole classes have been amazing! So much fun but everyone is working so hard at the same time. Getting bruises in places you never thought could bruise and working on your strength on different ways!

Yoga

Yoga is the best for no budget, no experience and no equipment. You can literally do this at home in your living room with a YouTube video.

That's how my yoga journey has gone, following YouTube 30 day challenges and loving pushing myself each day, working on things I wanted to work on and having that time to myself everyday!

Not to mention the sweat you work up and the muscle you need for some moves!

Yoga on the go!

Take a walk, find a nice spot and get some yoga done! You've already built up some cardio may as well work on stretching it out and a little bit of upper body while your there!

Tumbling

A class that basically lets you live out your childhood again as you learn how to safely do cartwheels, rolls, handstands, flips, round offs! Everything you've wanted to try you can work up to and safely try at a tumbling class!

Can confirm that this is tough work and will have you sweating in no time

Skipping

If we want to talk about reliving your childhood, having fun AND exercise, skipping ticks all of these boxes. It's so much fun, so hard and you get better every time! There's so much to work on, speed, tricks, one foot jumping, forwards or backwards! So easy to do from home just grab a skipping rope and start jumping!

Airtastic or we are vertigo

These names are specific to Northern Ireland but you'll find similar places all over, trampoline parks and inflata parks make for a great day out with friends as well as having challenges and races to get the competitive blood pumping and feel how hard you have worked when your done having fun.

Let's go hydro

Same goes for let's go hydro except you get the added extra of the water! Inflatable obstacle courses that when you fail and fall off your splashing around in the water, cooling off and ready to go again.

Walking!

A simple walk with great scenery can keep you active day to day! This is a glow walk me and family did for Alzheimer's society, a good way to spend time together for a good cause.

As a more casual walking location I like cave hill in Belfast, choices of short and longer walks and a great view.

Climbing

Bouldering is one for the upper body strength, a great way to challenge yourself and work hard at the same time. Indoor bouldering is available in a few different places, here in Belfast our best one is boulder world. And outdoor bouldering is available but be very careful! Make sure you have the right equipment and stay safe!

Is there anything on my list you would like to try? Let me know what challenges your going to take on!
